Sufjan Stevens to join The National at London’s O2 Arena

The National have confirmed one additional, big name support for their biggest ever headline show at London’s O2 Arena, 26th November.

Sufjan Stevens has been confirmed for the show, joining the previously confirmed Wild Beasts.

Taking to Facebook, The National said: “Our pal Sufjan Stevens had so much fun sitting in with us in Spain that he’s decided to join us in London at The 02 next week.”

The two acts have a lot of history, most notably with Sufjan performing backing vocals on The National’s ‘Afraid of Everyone’, taken from the 2010 album ‘High Violet’. Listen below.

Clarification: It looks like Sufjan won’t be performing his own show - he’ll just be providing backing vocals for The National, as stated on his official site.

The O2 will play host to The National’s final show on their ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ tour, building on last year’s LP.
