The Gaslight Anthem announce deluxe reissue ‘The ‘59 Sound Sessions’
The band’s second album turns 10 this summer, and a new version ft rarities and a photobook will come out in June.
The Gaslight Anthem’s breakout second album - 2008’s ‘The ‘59 Sound’ - turns ten this year, and the band are planning some very special celebrations.
A tour, where the band will play the record in full, has already been announced, along with a festival set at NYC’s Governors Ball.
They’ve now announced a deluxe reissue of the record, called ‘The ‘59 Sound Sessions’. It will feature unreleased rarities from the time of the album, and a 60-page photobook.
The release will come out via SideOneDummy on 15th June.
The journey a band goes through is complex” drummer Benny Horowitz says in the photobook. “We were perpetually on the road and in a state of constant motion. I can’t think of a better time to try and create the most significant thing of your life when it was the most significant time of all our lives. I’m so happy to share this moment of our existence.”
