The Streets to reissue ‘Everything Is Borrowed’
With Mike Skinner’s comeback in full swing, the 2008 LP is getting the deluxe treatment.
The Streets have been hosting their comeback for the last year or so, sprinkling new songs throughout last year.
We’ve heard new music in the form of ‘Sometimes I Hate My Friends More Than My Enemies’, ‘Burn Bridges’. ‘If You Ever Need To Talk I’m Here’,‘Boys Will Be Boys’ and ‘You Are Not The Voice In Your Head’.
Now, Mike Skinner has announced the latest in his line of reissues for his classic back catalogue of LPs.
2008’s ‘Everything Is Borrowed’ is getting the deluxe reissue treatment, coming out on 180-gram heavyweight 12” vinyl on 31st May.
We headed down to the O2 Academy Sheffield on The Streets’ latest tour to find the singer in pure nostalgia mode.
“‘Dry Your Eyes’, ‘Never Went To Church’ and ‘Stay Positive’ are delivered with emotion while chaos erupts with ‘Don’t Mug Yourself’, ‘Heaven For The Weather’ and set closer ‘Fit But You Know It’,” we wrote of the show.
“Mike Skinner remains that likeable lad who you can rely on for a good time: at one point he gives a crowd member £11 to get him a 2 pinter of Guinness from the bar. Which he downs.”
