The Strokes Working On New Album… Or Not?
Billboard claims they are - the band’s management deny it.

The news that The Strokes were working on a new album might have seemed a bit confusing to some: a bunch of lacklustre live performances last year and rumours they didn’t even record the last one together made us wonder at points why exactly they bothered.
Billboard reported that the New York quintet were, however, at Electric Lady Studios in their home city with producer Gus Oberg, who worked on last year’s ‘Angles’ and Albert Hammond Jr’s ‘Como Te Llama?’.
And as quickly as you could ask ‘is that Julian on the phone?’, Pitchfork report that the band’s management are denying the whole lot: they’re not working on a new record, and they’ve not been recording with Oberg at Electric Lady.
