Watch Alabama Shakes bring ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ to Letterman
Southern rockers are readying their new album, ‘Sound & Color’.
Alabama Shakes made a return to The Late Show With David Letterman last night, performing ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ from their new album ‘Sound & Color’.
Their first televised performance since announcing the new LP, it arrives ahead of their 20th April release via Rough Trade.
The album was co-produced by the band with Blake Mills at Nashville studio Sound Emporium. “We took our time to write this record, and I’m really glad we did,” said lead singer/guitarist Brittany Howard, speaking to DIY. “We were able to sit down and think about what’s exciting to us. This record is full of genre-bending songs.”
Read an interview with the band about the making of the record, as featured in the February 2015 issue of DIY here.
