Watch the Thurston Moore Band make live debut
Thurston’s new supergroup performed live at London’s Café OTO last week.

Just over two weeks ago, Thurston Moore unveiled another string to his musical bow; this time, in the form of a project that little bit closer to his name sake.
Teaming back up with Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley for his new supergroup, Moore has also recruited My Bloody Valentine’s bassist Debbie Googe, along with James Sedwards too.
After announcing plans to embark upon a huge tour of Europe and North America later this month - while plotting to release a solo album later this year - the Thurston Moore Band made their live debut in London’s own Café OTO just last week. Taking place ahead of the band’s appearance at this weekend’s Pukkelpop, the evening acted as a warm-up event for their upcoming twenty-date tour and during their set, they gave Moore’s recent solo single ‘Detonation’ its very own live rendition.
Laced with static and feedback, get a taste of what to expect from Moore’s forthcoming record ‘The Best Day’ by watching their performance below.
