Jack White, Jarvis Cocker and Laura Marling join Beck for ‘Song Reader’ record
2012’s sheet music release finally gets a recorded counterpart, with some big names contributing.
Beck’s ‘Song Reader’ project is set to get a full recorded release, with some big name friends along for the ride.
‘Song Reader’ initially came out in 2012 as sheet music, before gaining an eventual live outing with a little help from his friends. Now it’s looking finally getting a physical release in recorded form.
Featuring tracks from Jack White, Jack Black (yes, both White and Black - Ed), Jarvis Cocker, Laura Marling and Eleanor Friedberger as well as Beck himself, it will be released on July 29th.
The Californian’s year is already looking busy - he’s just released ‘Morning Phase’, his first album in six years, and he’s aiming on putting out a second record in 2014, all while appearing at Festival No. 6 and Bestival.
