Featuring Loyle Carner and the Class of 2017!

With 2016 finally coming to a close, it’s time to look forward. Everyone and their dog is predicting big things for a bunch of new musicians next year, and we’re no different. In the brand new December/January issue of DIY, out this Friday 9th December, we’ve gathered 17 of the acts sure to make a splash in 2017.They’re led by Loyle Carner, the South London rap prodigy who’s already making huge waves, powered by family values.

Elsewhere, there’s politically minded pop hero Declan McKenna, soul sensation Jorja Smith and Dream Wife’s fired up punk-pop. Diet Cig let us in on their fun-time secrets, while Blaenavon open up the moody world of that incoming debut album. Abattoir Blues, meanwhile, are using their rumbling post-punk to instigate conversation on some important topics.

Pumarosa talk everything from their fruity namesake to sleeping in yurts, Trudy and The Romance doo-wop their way into another sure-to-be-breakthrough year, SLØTFACE cut through apathy and Will Joseph Cook brings the tropical pop.

Eat Fast and ESTRONS‘ gang mentalities join the pack alongside GIRLI’s bolshy brat-pop, while Pixx, Liss and Mura Masa bring a slinkier side to proceedings.
