In the magazine November 2020

Featuring Gorillaz, The Kills, Michael Kiwanuka, John Cooper Clarke and Fontaines DC, and loads more.

2020 is finally nearing the end (thank fuck, eh?), so to keep you entertained during Lockdown 2.0, our November 2020 issue lands tomorrow and it’s packed with loads of legends.

The iconic Gorillaz cover our issue (which was designed by Jamie Hewlett himself!), so we hopped on Zoom with mastermind Damon Albarn to chat all about their Song Machine series, the government’s treatment of the arts during the pandemic, what it’s like working with Elton and some of the other stars that could be popping up in Gorillaz’ world very soon.

Elsewhere in the magazine, we look back on some of the actually-not-shit things that happened in 2020, catch up with Sundara Karma to find out all about their new EP ‘Kill Me’, head down memory lane with The Kills, and join John Cooper Clarke and Fontaines DC frontman Grian Chatten in conversation for the coolest phone call we’ve ever eavesdropped on.

But that’s not all! Creeper’s Will Gould spills the beans on new project Salem, Michael Kiwanuka celebrates his big Hyundai Mercury Prize win, Boy Pablolets us in on recently-released album ‘Wachito Rico’, and we once again catch up with the Jarmans to talk all things Cribs.

We also meet newbies Jean Dawson, Tiña, MICHELLE and Katy J Pearson, talk TikTok with Will Joseph Cook, and Happyness’ Ash Kenazi is back for our DIY Drag-ony Aunt column (you’re welcome x).
