Lykke Li airs new ‘Never Gonna Love Again’ video

Lykke Li has unveiled the video for ‘Never Gonna Love Again’, a highlight from 2014’s ‘I Never Learn’ that takes the Swedish popstar’s doom and gloom and delves even deeper.

Philippe Tempelman has directed a new clip, which stars Lykke in a gloomy, otherworldly setting. Walking the streets in the dead of night, her every move is covered in smoke, fireworks and misty effects.

Speaking to Rolling Stone about the new video, she said: “Loneliness and heartbreak follow you everywhere and they are loudest right after the lights go out and the crowds quiet… here’s an intimate glimpse of how it can be to live your dream whilst stuck in your dream. In the lonely wolf hour, the night becomes your stage, the stars your audience, the rain your memories.”
