Ten Tonnes shares ‘Better Than Me’

Ethan Barnett’s self-titled debut album is out next April.

Last week, Ten Tonnes announced details of his debut album. The self-titled effort will come out on 5th April next year, and he’s now shared another preview of it.

‘Better Than Me’ comes alongside the singer’s current UK tour in support of George Ezra (his big brother, fact fans).

Speaking of the track, Ethan Barnett says: “This was written in one of the last sessions for the record and it’s one of my absolute favourites. It was really fun to write and it came together really quickly.

“When we got to recording it I played all the instruments (excluding drums) as this is how I always used to make my records. It was lovely getting back to that way of recording and piecing the track together. I’m chuffed with the outcome, I can’t wait to get out and play it live everywhere.”

The Class of 2018 star’s debut album was recorded with both ex-Maccabee Hugo White and Dan Grech, and features co-writes with former Kaiser Chief Nick Hodgson, and Crispin Hunt, once from ‘90s indie stars Longpigs, who’s also worked with Florence + The Machine and Lana Del Rey.
