“Fun is not breaking up” - the band deny split
The band “answer the question that has been raised most often” in a statement.
With Jack Antonoff busy writing songs with Taylor Swift, performing in new band Bleachers and starring in car commercials with Charli XCX, all three members of fun have apparently been asked one question more than any other.
“Fun is not breaking up,” the trio - completed by Nate Ruess and Andrew Dost - have confirmed via a statement on their website. “One thing that has always been so special about fun is that we exist as 3 individuals in music who come together to do something collaborative,” they explain. “We make fun records when we are super inspired to do so.”
Fun’s most recent album was 2012’s smash ‘Some Nights’.
Ruess has recently featured on Eminem’s ‘Headlights’ and co-written with Maroon 5. Bleachers tour Europe with The Kooks this month, stopping off at Bush Hall in London for a one-off headline date on 24th February.
