Nate Ruess announces debut solo album, ‘Grand Romantic’

The record is released this June.

Fun might definitely definitely not be splitting, but that isn’t stopping Nate Ruess from following in bandmate Jack Antonoff’s footsteps and announcing something new.

The frontman will be releasing debut solo album, ‘Grand Romantic’ on 15th June, via Fueled by Ramen.

It features the already-out-there lead single, ‘Nothing Without Love’, which features a guest spot from Lykke Li, and of which Ruess posted “a lot of times songs come to me in the middle of the night while I’m sleeping, or while I’m driving. This one showed up in the shower”. Right then.

There’s also a cameo from Jeff Tweedy on the record, as he adds guitar to ‘Take It Back’.

Nate is set to appear at both Fuji Rock and Outside Lands festivals (so far) this summer.
