The Kills announce new album ‘Ash & Ice’, offer up ‘Doing It To Death’

Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince will follow up their 2011 record ‘Blood Pressures’ this June.

The Kills are back, and they’ve confirmed plans to release their brand new album ‘Ash & Ice’ this June.

Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince have announced that they’ll be following up their 2011 effort ‘Blood Pressures’ on 3rd June, with their newest full-length being released through Domino.

The pair’s fifth album together was mostly recorded in a rented house in Los Angeles, as well as at New York’s infamous Electric Lady Studios. Alongside Hince and Mosshart, the likes of John O’Mahony, Tom Elmhirst and Tchad Blake have all offered their production and mixing skills to the mix.

The band have also unveiled the first taste of the album in the form of ‘Doing It To Death’, which comes complete with a new video from the pair. Join the duo as they lead a funeral procession through a rather blue-skied spot below.

The duo have also confirmed plans for a UK headline show, set to take place in London on 4th May. It comes in the midst of their upcoming US tour dates. Tickets go on sale this Friday (4th March).
