Years & Years share new version of ‘Desire’ ft. Tove Lo

There’s a dead swanky new video as well.

DIY faves Years & Years have shared a swanky new version of their certified pop banger ‘Desire’ featuring Swedish newcomer Tove Lo. Years & Years also have a re-vamped music video with some absolutely on point coat game from Olly Alexander, and incredibly impressive glowing costumes elsewhere.

Olly Alexander recently shared an open letter speaking about video, and the idea behind it. “Most of the pop videos I’ve seen that have any male and female interaction are usually centred around a romance, and that’s great,” he wrote I am all for romance. But let’s face it there are a lot of other sexualities and identities that are well deserving of some shiny pop video love.”

“I’ve been wanting to make a video with some of my queer family for a long time and ‘Desire’ felt like the right time to do it,” he added. Read his full letter here.

Tove Lo announced a London headline show last month, and having already seen a European release, her debut ‘Queen of the Clouds’ comes out in the UK on 11th May. She performs live at London’s Koko on 30th March.

Years & Years meanwhile released their own debut ‘Communion’ last year, and the trio are currently on their European tour, where they’ve been debuting brand new music. Watch the Tove Lo featuring edition of ‘Desire’ below.
